Rosneft: LNG agreement and educational project

Rosneft Trading SA, a company of Rosneft Group has announced that it is to enter an LNG agreement with EGAS, and is to cooperate in educational projects with the Ministry of Petroleum, Egypt.
LNG agreement
Rosneft Trading SA has signed a Master LNG Supply and Purchase agreement with the Egyptian Natural Holding Gas Company (EGAS) with the aim of supplying LNG to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The agreement marks Rosneft’s entry into the world LNG trading market, as well as the implementation of provisions that will ultimately open access to the Egyptian gas market.
Educational projects
Rosneft and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic of Egypt are to organise the education of Egyptian citizens. Education will be organised through the universities of the Russian Federation and a joint working group will be set up that will specify the type of educational programme, the participants, and the pattern of the contractual relations with the selected Russian university. The specialists who complete the programme will be able to join the teams that implement the joint Russian-Egyptian oil and gas projects.
