Alimak wins industrial elevator order in the Middle East
Alimak group, the vertical access solution company, has received a 11 MSEK order in the Middle East regarding industrial elevators to an oil refinery, to be delivered during 1Q16 and 2Q16.
The new order includes industrial elevators based on traction, and rack and pinion technology.
“We are proud to win this new order in the oil and gas industry. The order clearly demonstrates the strategic fit of our acquisition of Heis-Tek during 2014 and our ability to offer an even wider and more attractive range of vertical access solution for different needs based on a combination of technologies”, said Tormod Gunleiksrud, CEO of Alimak Group.
Alimak acquired Heis-Tek in June 2014 as part of the strategy to further expand and strengthen its product and service offering of vertical access solutions to the oil and gas industry. Through the acquisition, Alimak also broadened its product portfolio from rack and pinion based technology to traction and hydraulic based elevators. Alimak is one of few suppliers with the ability to provide a total elevator service and inspection support offering on a global basis to the oil and gas industry, onshore and offshore.
