Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Hydrodec Group Plc has reported that cumulative production through the start-up process at the Canton re-refinery has delivered more than 200 000 gal. of SUPERfine™ base oil. The first commercial sale is expected to occur on 3 August 2015. Trains 1 and 2 are producing approximately 9000 gals./d.
Further remedial work is required on the heat exchangers following testing and re-certification. Consequently, it is anticipated that Canton will not achieve the 19 million l of base oil as expected.
