Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Beach Energy Ltd has announced the commencement of Mr Matthew Kay as its Chief Executive Officer on 2 May 2016.
As originally announced, the appointment of Mr Kay was to take effect from 17 July 2016 or such earlier date as mutually agreed. Mr Kay’s commitments have changed and now allow for an earlier start date.
Beach Chairman, Glenn Davis, commented: “We are extremely pleased that Matt will join Beach earlier than originally anticipated. With all approvals for the merger with Drillsearch obtained, Matt will commence during an exciting period for the company. Matt has extensive corporate development and operational experience within the oil and gas industry, which will prove invaluable as we integrate Drillsearch and continue to execute our strategy. Until Matt commences, Neil Gibbins will continue in the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer. I extend the Board’s gratitude to Neil for undertaking that role over the preceding months and until Matt arrives. Neil has guided the company through challenging market conditions as well as our transaction with Drillsearch.”
