ClearSign Combustion Corp. has received a follow-on order from a refinery based in California, US.
The order follows Duplex™ technology's successful pilot project with the company late last year. In this project, ClearSign had retrofitted the company's vertical cylindrical refinery heater with its Duplex technology to ensure compliance with California's strict air emissions requirements. After the retrofit, independent testing conducted by a third party on behalf of the refiner confirmed NOx single digit emissions.
The installation marks the first installation of the Duplex technology into a new heater rather than a retrofit into a heater with an existing burner.
Steve Pirnat, ClearSign’s Chairman and CEO, said: "We're pleased with the company's continued vote of confidence as they've been an excellent partner in applying our technology to their refinery […] We look forward to working with them to achieve their future emission goals as we've done so in the past."
