In partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation, ALON Brands with GreenPrint LLC are launching the Strive – Reduced Emissions Fuel Programme at all of its 7-Eleven stores in Midland and Odessa. The first of its kind sustainability programme is now available at more than 100 ALON 7-Eleven gas locations in Texas and New Mexico, and has quadrupled its footprint since the program initially launched in June 2015.
The Strive – Reduced Emissions Fuel Programme allows drivers to support their community and environment while reducing their tailpipe emissions just by filling up at an ALON 7-Eleven location. Now, for every gallon of fuel purchased in Midland and Odessa, ALON will plant trees locally and invest in certified carbon reduction projects.
"We are excited to bring this programme to our backyard. With how much support the Odessa and Midland communities give us, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our product and give back to them. The Strive program has already allowed us to plant over 5000 trees in Texas and New Mexico, and we look forward to continue growing that number," said Jonathan Ketchum, Senior Vice President of retail at ALON Brands. "We couldn't be happier with how much support and love our customers have shown the Strive program to date."
The Strive – Reduced Emissions Fuel Programme has already planted over 5000 trees and neutralised over 25 000 t of carbon dioxide and equivalent greenhouse gasses to date.
