Hydrocarbon Engineering,
KBR has announced that as of 6 August 2015 it has exceeded 3 million work hours without a Days Away from Work Incident at the Dyno Nobel ammonia plant construction site.
KBR Vice President of Health, Safety, Security and the Environment, Nick Anagnostou, said: “KBR fosters an independent safety culture in which all employees are expected to make safety conscious decisions that are governed by personal values”. At the Dyno Nobel site there are daily and weekly meetings to reinforce KBR’s Zero Harm policy, and every new employee is given rigorous safety training.
Mr Anagnostou also said that: “Everyone truly realises that an injury incident is not a statistic but rather a person who has been negatively affected”.
James Fazzino, IPL Managing Director and CEO, added: “Our aim is to keep all of our people on the IPL Dyno Nobel Ammonia Plant safe, and to ensure our culture of Zero Harm for everyone, everyday is fully embedded across every activity undertaken”.
