Pipetech has announced the appointment of Frank Andersen as General Manager Scandinavia.

Mr Andersen will be based at the firm’s Stavanger hub. He joins the company from GS-Hydro Norge AS where he most recently held the role of business development manager and key account manager. Previous to this, Mr Andersen worked in various sales and management positions at three different IKM companies.

Pipetech has seen its presence in Scandinavia grow in recent years and has successfully completed projects for key industry players including Statoil, ConocoPhillips, Wintershall, AkerBp and Preem. In his new position, Mr Andersen will be responsible for leading Pipetech’s Scandinavian business operations, as it looks to grow its onshore and offshore services.

Eric Doyle, Pipetech UK Managing Director, said: “Frank’s breadth of experience in the oil and gas market, as well as his extensive local network in Norway made him the perfect fit for this role. His drive and vision for Pipetech is exciting to see and we look forward to expanding our Scandinavian business in the coming months.”

Mr Andersen added: “I’m eager to be joining a company with such ambitious growth plans for the future. Pipetech’s solutions-based approach to process system integrity challenges and the senior management team’s passion for innovation is what attracted me to the role.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with the team in Stavanger as we look to drive the latest Active Caisson Management and Active Process Management services.”
