Sempra Energy appoints Chief Information Officer

Sempra Energy has announced the appointment of P. Kevin Chase as its Chief Information Officer.
In his new role, Mr Chase will provide corporate-wide governance, policy and strategic direction for information and related technologies.
G. Joyce Rowland, Senior Vice President and chief human Resources and Administrative Officer for Sempra Energy, said: "We are pleased to add Kevin Chase to our executive team […] Kevin's significant experience in information technology and the energy industry will help keep our company at the forefront of the best technology practices."
Previously, Chase served as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of technology and supply chain at Energy Future Holdings from 2011 to 2016.
Chase serves on the advisory committee for the CIO Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, US.
