Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Petrofac was recognised as EPC contractor of the year (Kuwait) at a recent event hosted by The Oil & Gas Year (TOGY).
TOGY highlighted three of our projects in the country:
- The first phase of Kuwait Oil Company’s (KOC) Lower Fars heavy oil development programme. With a total project value of more than US$4 billion, we are leading a consortium with Greece based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC).
- KOC’s gathering centre 29 (GC29) valued at approximately US$700 million, which is one of three gathering centres being constructed to support KOC’s plans to increase and maintain oil production over the next five years.
- The manifold group trunkline project, valued at approximately US$780 million.
Receiving the award on behalf of Petrofac, Country Manager Mohammad Al Fahoum said: “I am delighted to accept the award from The Oil & Gas Year in recognition of our projects in Kuwait. We have a highly motivated team here working very hard to deliver for our customers so this is a wonderful accolade for all their efforts.”
Complementing the above portfolio in the country, in a joint venture with Samsung and CB&I, we are also working on the US$3.7 billion project for Kuwait National Petroleum Company’s (KNPC) Clean Fuels Project, Mina Abdulla (MAB1) refinery.
