Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Under the slogan ‘Collaborate, Innovate, Deliver’, The Linde Group demonstrated how a world leader in gases and engineering delivers true value to its customers at this year’s ACHEMA trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany. On the 250 m2 booth, a number of reference projects, technology showcases and service innovations illustrated Linde’s integrated approach to customer success.
The booth was divided into four focus zones, innovations, solution development, solution delivery and talent, all of which dovetail to deliver customised solutions that meet today’s process industry challenges. Linde hosted a series of interesting seminars on key topics, also inviting guests to participate and engage with its experts at the booth. Seminar topics included ‘value cracking’, air separation in the energy industry, the LNG value chain, post combustion CO2 capture, best practices, plant revamping and Linde onsite excellence.
Guests also had the opportunity to see activity at a Linde Remote Operating Centre (ROC). These ROCs are centres of operational excellence, manned by specialists to ensure the safe and reliable operation of some 1000 plants delivered by the Linde Engineering Division and operated by the Linde Gases Division worldwide. The operating data and knowledge gained from these air separation, carbon dioxide and hydrogen plants through the ROCs is extensively used by Linde to channel lessons learned into the latest plant designs. The wealth of operation experience gives Linde customers the advantage of higher reliability and efficiency. In total Linde Engineering has delivered more than 4000 plants worldwide.
Visitors were also invited to attend Linde’s presentations and speaker slots at the ACHEMA side conference. Topics included Carbo- V® biomass gasification, pressure swing adsorption technology, modularisation in hydrogen plants, storage and utilisation of high grade waste heat and the direct synthesis of dimethyl ether.
