Parker releases high automation controller
Parker Hannifin has released the Parker automation controller (PAC). Designed for the global machine market, the PAC combines machine logic, advanced real time motion control, and visualization into one performance driven solution.
With industry leading EtherCAT communication for motion and I/O plus the Parker automation manager (integrated development environment (IDE) for application development, th PAC provides OEMs an engineered solution for the most demanding projects. This package offers a single, intuitive environment for development with industry standard programming, machine to machine communication, and network connectivity to provide real time information when and where it is needed.
Parker automation manager allows engineers to leverage their existing knowledge and work smarter, more efficient and more effective than ever with the full suit of IEC1131-3 programming languages and PLC open motion control function blocks.
Engineered to easily integrate into existing plant networks and provide for third party device connectivity, the PAC comes standard with a variety of onboard communication protocols, including an OPC server, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, dual LAN networks, and options for Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Profibus.
In short, this standards based approach for this new intelligent multi-axis motion controller provides tools for faster code generation, decreased commissioning time and development cost. It also enables engineers to create control applications for the complex and demanding machines of the future time.
