Hydrocarbon Engineering,
Wilden®, part of PSG, has introduced its new Stallion® Original™ Metal AODD Pump models, powered by the Pro-Flo® SHIFT Air Distribution Systems (ADS).
The Stallion Series incorporate features that make the handling and transfer of fluids with high solid content more efficient and effective, including:
- A shock-absorbing polyurethane screen base that absorbs the impact from constant assault by solid particles, resulting in maximised durability.
- A large internal clearance and flow-through design to keep the pump from clogging.
- An integrated suction strainer.
- An altered ball/seat check valve assembly that maximises part life, increases suction, and maximises flow rates.
Stallion Series pumps also come equipped with the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT ADS. The Pro-Flo SHIFT incorporates a unique Air Control Spool that automatically restricts the amount of air going into the pump during the latter part of each stroke, which eliminates over-filling of the air chamber and results in reduced air consumption. By optimising air consumption, the Pro-Flo SHIFT lowers energy and operating costs, achieving up to 60% savings over competitive AODD pump technologies. Its robust design makes the Pro-Flo SHIFT ideal for use in harsh operating environments and includes ATEX compliance for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The new Stallion Series pumps are available in three sizes: PS4, 38 mm (1-1/2”); PS8, 51 mm and PS15, 76 mm, and have superior anti-freezing properties and can handle pressures up to 125 psi. Depending on the model, flow rates range from 307 to 764 lpm (81 to 202 gpm).
