Hydrocarbon Engineering,
NEL has launched a flow measurement advice helpline for the oil and gas industry, supported by the National Measurement Institute (NMI).
As many flow metrology issues can be resolved through a short discussion with an expert, the free telephone service offers 30 minutes with one of NEL’s consultants. It is hoped that the helpline will help operators to improve meter measurement accuracy and reduce their fiscal liability.
Advice offered by the NEL flow measurement experts will be wide ranging, including the design of accurate systems, technology selection, improving meter accuracy and performance, standards interpretation, and testing and calibration queries.
As a global centre of excellence for flow measurement and fluid flow systems, NEL is one of the UK’s National Measurement System (NMS) laboratories which deliver world class measurement science and technology. This infrastructure allows measurements to be made with integrity and consistency, by holding and maintaining internationally recognised measurement standards and practices.
The NEL Flow Measurement Advice Helpline can be contacted on: + 44 (0) 1355 593741, or email: measurementadvice@tuv-sud.co.uk
