AVEVA has announced that the leading Russian oil & gas cluster of Bashkortostan Republic has standardised on AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design software solution. The cluster required a proven multi-discipline engineering and design solution for capital projects globally that would increase productivity and improve efficiency. The cluster is a group of companies that specialise in oil & gas including, energy-efficient technologies and precision engineering. All members of the cluster will use AVEVA software on all projects.
The licenses, for all members of the cluster, will be funded by Government of the Russian Federation from an initiative called the Development of Petrochemical Territorial Cluster of Bashkortostan Republic. The main goal of the initiative is to develop and support oil and gas activities in this region, an important territory for the Russian oil industry. A significant number of powerful engineering and design institutes, as well as operators are located here. The cluster itself unites over 100 companies.
The Institute of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemistry of the Republic of Bashkortostan (INHP RB) was chosen to manage and coordinate all the activities of the cluster, as well as its development, research, expertise, administration and IT.
”AVEVA’s innovative software is the most popular for engineering and design in the oil & gas industry”, said Elshad Telyashev, INHP RB Director. ‘We selected AVEVA as our technology partner for the creation and management of assets as it has an impressive list of completed projects by great customer references from the key engineering and design institutes and educational centres in the Bashkortostan area, wider Russia and the world. AVEVA was the logical choice for us. Its software has unbeatable technical characteristics, including its ability to allow multi-discipline engineers to work concurrently on design and engineering projects in real time.’
“AVEVA software is the de facto standard for the engineering and design activities for companies working in the oil & gas industry in this area of Russia,’ said Evgeny Fedotov, SVP – EPCs, AVEVA. ‘We take great pride when an institution like INHP RB is confident enough in our credentials to spend state money on our technology. It is a credit to the AVEVA team in Russia that they have built such a strong reputation for our software and service”.
