New Peinemann Equipment lifter for airfin bank electric motors

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

Peinemann Equipment has developed a new lifter for the safe exchange of airfin bank electric motors. The lifter can also reduce the time for removing and reinstalling registers from furnaces.

The lifter is intended to operate from walkway and/or working platforms. It can exchange motors up to a weight of 350 kg and with a maximum height of 2.42 m from the bottom of the motor. The lifter itself weighs 130 kg.

The lifter has two castors in the front and rear and two fixed wheels in the middle. The working width is very small so that the lifter can be operated from almost every walkway and working platform.

The hydraulic ram for the lifting system is controlled manually using a hydraulic pump. The lifting system can be telescoped out in three sections. The lifter also boasts three lifting eyes for placing the machine on a walkway or working platform using a crane. Two fork lift pockets allow the machine to be moved easily.

Safety

Safety features include:

  • Double set of steel cables.
  • Hose failure protection.
  • A two way valve that also ensures that the lifting mechanism cannot be forced down.
