D3SCOM Engineering invests in AVEVA solutions

Hydrocarbon Engineering,

D3SCOM Engineering (D3) has adopted AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) and AVEVA Laser Modeller software for its brownfield projects with Owner Operators in Malaysia.

Brownfield projects

AVEVA software solutions enable D3’s designers to have a clear understanding of the as-is condition of an asset during brownfield projects. Direct integration of the 3D design model into the intuitive laser scan BubbleView allows accurate extraction of tie-in points and clash detection, and hence minimises project rework. D3 has successfully implemented AVEVA software on the Talisman Bunga Raya brownfield project earlier this year.

Comments

“We compared other software vendors and found AVEVA’s offering to be the most effective solution for brownfield projects. We are very impressed with AVEVA E3D’s capabilities to bring laser data into live 3D models and its ability to illustrate all engineering parts in a clear, accurate and easy to use interface. Working with AVEVA technical support team has been very positive,” said Mohammad Jazli bin Rahimi, Managing Director, D3SCOM Engineering.

“It’s great to see that D3 has joined our other customers in choosing AVEVA E3D and AVEVA Laser Modeller to increase their efficiency and profitability. The advanced functionalities of AVEVA software will play a strategic role in the evolution of D3’s business operations, helping it to improve competitiveness by reducing risk and minimising project costs,” added Rozita Mohd Nor, Senior Vice President for SEA & Australasia, AVEVA.

AVEVA Everything3D

AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) is AVEVA’s premier, multi-discipline, 3D plant design solution. It combines the latest 3D graphics and user interface technologies with state-of-the-art data management to deliver the most comprehensive, productive and tightly integrated 3D plant design solution available.

AVEVA Laser Modeller

AVEVA Laser Modeller enables a client to build an intelligent 3D design model from the laser data. Once in the design package it can be used for producing drawings, engineering deliverables and delivery to an owner operator to view and manage their asset.
