AVEVA E3D Insight mobile app launched
AVEVA has released a new app, the AVEVA E3D Insight, a Windows 8.1 application that broadens the company’s Future of Plant Design initiative. AVEVA E3D Insight provides access to the live design model from AVEVA Everything3D, the company’s virtual plant design environment.
Projects in the power and process industries have become increasingly complex, involving multiple global stakeholders. AVEVA E3D Insight’s visualize, inspect, comment, and approve features mean that the review process is not permanently tethered to the office. AVEVA has designed the app to streamline and remove delays in the review and feedback process, with a highly collaborative platform involving both project team members and owner operators. The app’s ‘inspection’ feature enables users to have direct dialogue, which is stored as threaded conversations with members of the project design team.
ARC Advisory Group believes that owner operators equipped with mobile applications such as this will enjoy a competitive advantage over those not using the latest technologies. This is true across all stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
