Burckhardt Compression to acquire shares in Mark van Schaick BV

On 2 December 2021, Burckhardt Compression signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Mark van Schaick BV, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The company has more than 20 years of experience in machining and is a leader in servicing complex repairs such as crankshafts. In 2020, it recorded sales of approximately CHF9 million, with 27 employees.
With the acquisition, Burckhardt Compression specifically complements its repair and service capabilities in Europe and further expands its presence in the service business for reciprocating compressors. The company also gains highly specialised machining expertise and repair capabilities for the global customer base in the maritime and petrochemical industry.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Closing is expected within the next few weeks.
