Bharat Petroleum Corp.
As part of its ‘Project Dream Plan’ Bharat Petroleum Corporation is going to aim to increase production capacity at its refineries to 45 million tpy by 2016. The company currently has a refining capacity of 30.5 million tpy and wants to expand the Bina and Kochi facilities to help reach the desired goals.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation is also looking to construct a new refinery in Allahabad by 2020. The facility will have a capacity of 12 million tpy and become the company’s fifth facility.
Indian Oil
The Ministry of Labour has presented National Safety Awards to Indian Oil’s Bongaigaon, Mathura and Giwahati refineries. Bongaigaon was given awards for lowest average accident frequency rate and longest accident free years.
Reliance Industries Ltd
On 30th September, Reliance restarted a vacuum gasoil unit at its Jamnagar facility after a maintenance period. The unit at the 660,000 bpd plant has been closed for maintenance for approximately four months.
A crude unit has been taken offline at Reliance’s Gujarat facility. This is a planned shutdown and will not affect production from the facility.
