Hydrocarbon Engineering,
The new calculator makes it easy to efficiently generate the number of pounds or kgs of hydrogen sulfide present in any gas stream. The free tool also automatically calculates the equivalent annual sulfur dioxide that would be emitted from flaring that gas untreated. The sulfure dioxide calculation is important for ESG compliance and determining emissions reduction impact.
Phillip Walsh, Vice President, GTC Vorro, said: “We are thrilled to offer this new tool in order to quantify the volume of hydrogen sulfide present in gas across a spectrum of applications. The calculator has already generated high usage with process, production and facilities engineers that only have access to gas flow and hydrogen sulfide concentration data.”
Developed with the engineer in mind, the calculator provides an accurate reference point for how much hydrogen sulfide is present in any given situation. This leads to the next step of calculating an all-encompassing cost to remove the hydrogen sulfide per pound.
