Canadian West coast oil tanker traffic set to double

A new IHS study has found that oil tanker traffic on Canada’s West coast could more than double, were two proposed pipeline projects; the Northern Gateway from Alberta to the port of Kitimat BC and the Trans Mountain Expansion to Vancouver, to be approved.

 

API welcomes US/Mexico oil and natural gas agreement

API has issued a statement in favour of the passage of H.R. 1613 that will establish a transboundary agreement to allow joint energy projects between US energy companies and the Mexican state owned oil company.

 
 

EPA urged to withdraw Tier 3 rule

The American Petroleum Institute has urged the Environmental Protection Agency to withdraw the Tier 3 gasoline sulfur rule.
