Linde LLC has expanded its plant turnaround, MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) and pipeline services capabilities to include the Gulf Coast region from a new facility located in Baytown, Texas.

With a secure supply of industrial gases from one of the country's largest air separation units (ASU), which Linde recently completed in La Porte, Texas, the Linde Plant and Pipeline Services team has raised the bar for turnkey services and responsiveness. The new facility complements Linde's Northeast capabilities located in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania.

"These two locations allow Linde to provide services to customers in the two major areas of activity in the US – natural gas production in the North East and petrochemical and refining in Texas and Louisiana," said Brian Kubalik, Program Manager for Chemistry and Energy, Linde Americas. Kubalik points out that Linde has been an active member of the energy industry since the 1950s, partnering with oil and gas producers, midstream operators, and refineries as well as chemical plants. "Our site operators – who have over 200 years of collective experience – are experts in the safe operation of and handling of gases, hydrocarbons, high pressure pumping, vaporisation, storage equipment. And with a 24 hour dedicated National Operations Centre, project efficiency and uninterrupted services are the backbone of the business."

Utilising its network of air separation units (ASU) and strategically placed service yards, Linde's experienced Mobile Response Teams provide the industrial gases and/or water and high pressure pumping equipment to provide a host of services – from pneumatic hydrostatic pressure testing and nitrogen purging, inerting and displacement to LNG for backup natural gas supply and leak testing and plant commissioning. The company's broad array of sophisticated equipment includes high rate nitrogen pumper trucks, 4000 gal. nitrogen mini transport trucks, 16 000 gal. nitrogen portable storage vessels and hydrostatic pumping trailers. "This capability allows Linde to support projects of any size in any terrain, creating an efficient and cost effective solution," Kubalik said.
