Atlas Copco lands large LNG plant order

Atlas Copco Bolt Tightening Solutions has won a major order for a full range of bolting solutions for work at LNG plants being developed along the US Gulf Coast.

This new order, worth in excess of US$450 000, comprises CTST topside bolt tensioners including hydraulic pump units from the Tentec range, the RT and RTX torque wrenches with pumps and RTP nut runner guns.

Showing the full international collaboration of Atlas Copco, the CTST topside bolt tensioners were developed in the UK, the design and manufacturing site for the Tentec range of bolt tensioning equipment, while the nut runner guns are made in Sweden and the torque wrenches in the US.

Speaking about the order, Ron Glasgow, Regional Sales Manager at Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly, LLC said: “This order really shows the complete capability for bolting solutions from Atlas Copco. The whole team, around the world, are highly experienced and have a wealth of knowledge that not only enables us to develop high quality products that are fit for purpose, but our applications engineers are able to assist our customers to ensure they choose the correct products for their particular applications. Full training is also available to ensure all health and safety requirements and compliances are met.”
