Sandvik expands sulphur technology portfolio

Sandvik Process Systems (SPS) has expanded its product portfolio by purchasing the proprietary technology and know-how of Brimrock Group Inc., based in Calgary, Canada.

SPS has also reached agreement with current Brimrock employees to become part of the SPS Global Sulphur Organization, while continuing operations out of Canada.

Sulphur market

This addition significantly expands Sandvik’s offering to the sulphur market, including liquid sulphur degassing, block pouring, remelting, granulation, prilling and other services.

SPS engineering capabilities extend include Full Turnkey Systems, from acceptance of molten sulphur direct from the sulphur recovering unit (SRU) through to bulk storage and truck, rail and ship loading facilities.
