Most APGA members exempted from GHG reporting
In comments filed on 20th September with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), APGA supported EPA’s proposal to exempt from GEG reporting requirements utilities that deliver less than 460 million ft3/y of natural gas. EPA proposed this exemption to settle a lawsuit filed by APGA challenging EPA’s final Mandatory Reporting of GHGs rule published in the October 30th, 2009 Federal Register which would have required all local gas distribution operators (LDCs) to annually report to EPA the quantities of natural gas received from and delivered to various entities. As a result of this action by APGA and EPA we estimate that approximately 85% of APGA members will no longer have to report gas receipts and deliveries.
