Happy 100th Birthday Fluor
On Monday 23rd April Fluor Corporation marked 100 years since its founding in 1912. John Simon Fluor Sr. founded the company after moving to the US from Switzerland in the 1800s.

‘I doubt when Si Fluor came to this country all those years ago that he had any inkling of what his dream would become,’ said David Seaton, Fluor’s chairman and CEO. ‘When he came to the US, he was equipped only with the skilled hand of a guild trained craftsman, his know how and a passion to build. He used all of those traits to forge his new venture.’
The celebrations
As part of the 100th anniversary celebration, Fluor held a global employee event over the weekend of 21st April at 14 locations around the world. A huge event at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas, Texas was broadcast to six continents. The event brought together over 20 000 employees!
