Alfa Laval has won an order to supply air cooler systems to a natural gas plant in Brazil. The order, booked in the Energy & Process segment, has a value of approximately SEK75 million. Delivery is scheduled for this year.

The air cooler systems will be used to cool the main process streams at the natural gas plant. In the cooling process natural gas liquids (NGL) are separated from the gas and then fractionated (distilled) into ethane, propane and butane. These fluids can then be used, for example, as feedstock for petrochemical plants, for household heating or as fuel for vehicles.

“Safe, efficient and reliable equipment is vital in handling the demanding applications in the oil and gas industry. This large order proves our strong position in this area,” said Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
