Veolia get gold at SABIC European Safety awards

The Veolia Teesside, UK Industrial Services team has been recognised for their sustained safety performance throughout the delivery of the integrated oil and gas industrial services waste management and recycling contract. This was based on a wide range of safety indicators that drive safety, health and environmental (SHE) performance, including safety reporting and training and engagement with client safety systems of work.

Veolia’s contract with SABIC is to provide industrial services including high pressured water jetting, tank cleaning as well as waste management services including commercial and hazardous waste treatment. Part of the work was the onsite team utilising innovative remote spider jet technology to strip paint from external storage tanks onsite reducing safety hazards as well as significant environmental improvements.

The award

Working safely and continuously improving EHSS performance is a mutual goal for SABIC and its contractors. The SABIC SHE Award is based on SHE performance and is annually measured by SABIC and the results are released at an award ceremony for all contractors working for SABIC in Europe.
