When Hurricane Ida made landfall with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph the service centre sustained extensive damage. The east wall of the shop collapsed, impacting the structure and causing major deterioration to the roof.
In response to these challenges, EEE implemented a series of strategic temporary repairs to maintain operations and continue service to meet customer needs. Roof patches, reinforced walls, and dehumidification efforts in the office areas allowed the EEE New Orleans Service Center to continue services. Offices were relocated during the renovation, and extended efforts were made to minimise disruption to the shop’s operations.
The company’s extensive renovation efforts included a full reconstruction of the collapsed east wall, a new high bay roof, renovated office and the addition of a modern customer lounge, renovated lunch rooms, and a new exterior. New shipping and receiving doors were installed, and the facility’s signage was updated.
"We are incredibly proud of our team’s resilience and dedication throughout this process," said EEE Global Services Vice President, Matthew Rhodes. "Despite the challenges, our employees ensured that we could continue operations and ensure our customers received the highest-quality service without interruption. These facility upgrades will not only increase our capabilities but also strengthen our position to meet our customers’ future demands."
