LDPE compressor order
Burckhardt Compression was happy to announce that it has won an order for one process gas compressor at the upper performance range as booster/primary compressor and one hyper compressor for an LDPE production plant in North America. Burckhardt’s technology has been chosen because of the company’s good reputation in the LDPE market as an original equipment manufacturer.
The details
The pressure of the process gas compressor ranges from atmospheric suction pressure up to a discharge pressure of 300 bara with a rated motor power of 7000 kW. The six throw six stage gas compressor is designed for a maximum rod load of 1500 kW. The 10 cylinder hyper compressor compresses the gas from 300 bara up to a discharge pressure of 3000 bara with a rated motor power of 28 000 kW.
Delivery of the compressors is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2015.
