Metso Group make donations
Metso Corporation’s Annual General Meeting on March 30th, 2010 authorised the Board of Directors to decide on a donation of a maximum Euro 2.5 million to universities.
The donations
On the basis of the decision made by the AGM, Metso has decided to grant a donation of Euro 1.9 million to Aalto University Foundation. Metso is directing the donations to other universities as follows:
Tampere University of Technology’s TUT Foundation, Euro 350,000.
University of Jyväskylä, Euro 100,000.
Åbo Akademi University, Euro 50,000.
Lappeenranta University of Technology, Euro 50,000.
University of Oulu, Euro 50,000.
With these decisions, the donation authorisation granted by the AGM has been exercised in full.
