MAPCO to offer E15 to customers in 2014
US convenience store operator MAPCO Express, Inc. has announced that it is to begin offering E15 to its customers.
E15 is a combination of 15% and 85% gasoline, approved by the Environmental Protection Agency in January 2011 for use with 2001 and newer vehicles, following Department of Energy (DoE) testing.
MAPCO will be including E15 in new build and mega store locations, starting this year. The company’s ultimate aim is to have 100 stores offering E15.
Dan Gordon, Vice President of Business Development commented on the move: ‘MAPCO prides itself in being an innovative retailer that provides outstanding value to customers. We have a long track record of offering new products to our customers and E15 fits in nicely with our current product line up’.
‘Ethanol based fuels have been a lower per gallon cost alternative over the past few years and this should allow us to offer our customers additional fuel options’.
