WorleyParsons signs agreement with ASD Global
WorleyParsons has signed a general agreement with ASD Global for the use of OptiPlant, Pipe Router and Pipe Support Optimiser for all its projects worldwide. In order to increase engineering efficiency for pre front end engineering design (FEED) and FEED projects, WorleyParsons deploys OptiPlant to digitse, visualize, analyse, and optimize plants with a high level of productivity and accuracy.
As the designs and models from OptiPlant can be reused for other projects and in Detail Design, the potential savings to the overall project is substantial.
The Calgary office implemented the OptiPlant technology first on a FEED project and saw project returns immediately. Jeffrey Herring, WorleyParsons Design Manager commented: ‘Many Alberta oilsands FEED projects have been executed using OptiPlant have proved to be highly successful. OptiPlant can equally be used for offshore as well as onshore projects. Most importantly, OptiPlant really saved the day with respect to schedule and change’.
Martin Brooks, Worley Parsons Group Director of Engineering, said: "ASD Global will be working with some major offices to implement and roll out OptiPlant on Select and Define projects that can start to address some of the industry challenges faced by our customers with regards to schedule, change management, quality and predictability of outcome".
"ASD and WorleyParsons are developing a mutually beneficial relationship, and we are proud to be their partner in increasing optimization, productivity, and better designs for all front end projects", commented Manu Chatterjee, ASD Global Chairman and Founder.
