WorleyParsons awarded contract by Total E&P Joslyn
WorleyParsons has been awarded a contract from Total E&P Joslyn Ltd for the Total Joslyn North Mine Mineable Oil Sands plant project. The plant is located 65 km northwest of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, and is scheduled to startup in early 2017, capable of producing 100 000 bpd of bitumen.
Scope of contract
WorleyParsons’ scope includes the basic engineering phase for ore preparation, extraction, tailings, froth treatment feasibilities, infrastructure, offsites and utilities.
Joslyn North Mine Oil Sands plant
Work has commenced at WorleyParsons’ office in Calgary, Alberta, and is scheduled for completion during March, 2011. The estimated revenue to WorleyParsons from the contract is in the range of C$ 40 million.
