Pentair has opened a new facility in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The new design institute provides support for projects requiring design and specification for heat tracing and process-maintained industrial applications. Together with its Moscow site, the new premises will expand the service available to its Eastern European and Russian customers. It will also provide Pentair with a platform to support the company’s growth ambitions in the region.

The new design institute addresses the increased demand within the region for electrical heat tracing solutions, offering all round services from account management and sales to technical and design support onsite. Pentair will create more than 20 jobs with the opening of the new facility, alongside an extensive training programme for its employees to be able to service its customers locally. The Saint Petersburg office services will include design engineering support, technical specification guidance, as well as installation and maintenance advice for heat-tracing, electrical, freeze protection, process-maintained and high ambient temperature applications.

Jaap Nieuwenhuizen, General Manager at Pentair Industrial Heat Tracing Solutions Europe, said, “This investment in our new design institute reflects our commitment to customers in Russia and Eastern Europe. Many of our customers in the region prefer local support and services and it’s important for us to meet their requirements. Providing local support is also a solid growth opportunity for Pentair and an investment into the people we employ. The new facility has extensive capabilities and offers an excellent training programme for those willing to progress in their career. We’re now in a position to provide the region with a dedicated team of local experts.”

In 2013, Pentair opened its strategic hub in Moscow, as a central office for its operations in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). It combines several Pentair businesses under one roof, including Thermal Management, Equipment Protection, Flow Technologies, and Filtration & Process.
