Appointments

Approach Resources Inc.
Sergei Krylov, Managing Director at JP Morgan Securities LLC has been named to the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at Approach Resources Inc. Krylov will assume the position from Steven P. Smart who has been with the company since its inception in 2002, and CFO since 2007.

Krylov brings over 13 years of oil and gas industry experience from JP Morgan’s Energy Investment Banking group. While at JP Morgan, he advised clients on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions.

Evonik
Evonik Oil Additives has named Chris Gilbert as the new head of production and technology. He stepped into the new role on 1st November. Previously, Gilbert served as operations director at Evonik’s Multi User Site China (MUSC) for the Performance Polymers Business Unit in Shanghai. In this role he was responsible for all aspects of production in six plants, including training, quality management, supply chain management and engineering.

Foster Wheeler
Foster Wheeler AG has announced that Roberto Penno has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Global Engineering and Construction group, effective November 11th. He succeeds Umberto della Sala in that role. Della Sala continues to serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

KBR
KBR has announced that Brian K. Ferraioli has been appointed the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective 28th October 2013. Ferraioli brings 34 years of financial and accounting experience specifically in the engineering and construction industry to his role at KBR.

He was previously the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for six years at The Shaw Group in Baton Rouge, La. Before joining Shaw, Ferraioli served in numerous roles at Foster Wheeler AG in Clinton, NJ.

Pellerin Energy Group
PEG has named Cheri Baddock as an account manager within Pellerin Water Solutions (PWS) for the greater Houston region and as head of marketing for PEG. Based in Broussard, LA., Baddock will lead marketing development initiatives as head of marketing, while expanding and generating new business opportunities that emphasise water treatment across PEG’s portfolio of products and services. As an account manager, Baddock will focus on building internal and external relationships with Houston area customers to enhance business activities and generate growth.

T.A. Cook
T.A. Cook Consultants have announced that Dirk Frame has been appointed Managing Partner for Europe. TA Cook has provided expert change management and leadership advice to clients in the chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas and processing industries for 19 years.

A professional engineer by trade with an MBR from Cranfield School of Management, Dirk was previously Managing Partner for T.A. Cook North America. With over 25 years’ experience in providing expert strategic and operations advice to asset heavy businesses across the globe, he returns now to further develop and grow the company’s core business in Europe.

Retirement

Praxair
Executive Vice President and CFO at Praxair, Inc., Jim Sawyer will retire on December 31st this year after serving 28 years with the company. Sawyer has served as Praxair’s CFO for 13 years. Sawyer will still hold an advisory role at the company until March 1st of next year.
