Shell starts units at Sarnia refinery, reports gas flaring at Norco
Royal Dutch Shell Plc. is restarting units at its Sarnia refinery in Ontario, Canada after an operational upset. There were no reported injuries or damage to the 75 000 bpd refinery.
Meanwhile, Motiva Enterprises LLC, a joint venture between Shell Oil Co. and Saudi Refining Inc., has reported a release of sulfur dioxide from a unit at its refinery at Norco, Louisiana. The 250 000 bpd refinery is one of two operated by Motiva in the south of the state.
