Covanta acquires material processing facility from US Ecology

Covanta, a world leader in sustainable waste and energy solutions, has announced that its subsidiary, Covanta Environmental Solutions, has acquired a material processing facility in Augusta, Georgia from US Ecology, Inc. The facility provides non-hazardous waste solidification, shredding, water treatment and transportation services to commercial and industrial customers.

The acquisition will expand Covanta's existing network in the southeast, complementing Covanta operated energy from waste facilities in Florida and Alabama, as well as the company's material processing facilities in North Carolina.
