Oryx Energies has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Niangadou Distribution Compagnie SAU (NDC) for the sale of its downstream businesses in Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo.
The agreement is part of Oryx Energies' ongoing strategic review of its African downstream portfolio, aimed at aligning its activities with the Group's long-term priorities.
NDC, an established Malian energy company with extensive experience in the importation, distribution, and logistics of petroleum products, brings strong industry expertise and an in-depth understanding of the West African energy market. Its experience and regional presence position it well to build on Oryx Energies' established operations in the three countries.
Through this transaction, Oryx Energies continues to advance its strategy of transferring selected downstream businesses to African operators with the expertise and local knowledge to support their long-term development.
The group remains firmly committed to Africa, with a continued focus on investing in energy infrastructure across the continent and further developing its trading activities.
The transaction remains subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Until completion, Oryx Energies' operations in Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo will continue as usual, with an ongoing commitment to customers, partners and the safe and reliable delivery of its services.
