PEC wins 11 safety awards

PEC Ltd has been recognised yet again for its unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of its workers, securing 11 awards from the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council.
The Group received two WSH Performance Awards (Silver) for its successful development of effective safety and health management systems that meet or exceed the most exacting industry standards, and obtained 6 Safety and Health Award Recognition for Projects awards for its projects or worksites where successful WSH management systems have been deployed to establish industry best practices.
PEC also won the WSH Innovation Award for a new laser-marking system for the mechanical tagging of materials and equipment, which improves speed, accuracy and noise reduction. Jointly developed with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, the mobile unit is easy to assemble and use, requires less manpower and reduces exposure to on-site hazards, enhancing both cost-efficiency and health, safety, security and environment performance.
Finally, two other subsidiaries each brought home a WSH Risk Management Award. Testing Inspection & Solution Pte. Ltd picked up the award for a second time, having continued to uphold risk management practices that complement the wide range of heat treatment and inspection services it offers. ISOTECH Pte. Ltd obtained the award for the first time, having designed rigorous risk management systems that ensure worker safety in its provision of testing and isolation services.
