Axens and Wison Engineering sign MoU to advance eSAF project development

Axens and Wison Engineering have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore collaboration opportunities on global sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and eSAF projects, including the Fischer-Tropsch pathway.

Through this framework, the two companies will jointly assess practical execution approaches that combine Axens' proven process technology expertise and Wison Engineering's capabilities in standardisation, modularisation, global supply-chain integration, and international project execution. The objective is to develop eSAF solutions designed for greater cost and schedule predictability, rapid deployment and efficient replication across global markets.

This collaboration aims to support selected SAF project developers with the implementation of strategies that improve cost predictability and control, streamline early project development processes and timelines, enhance schedule certainty, address key barriers to bankability and support greater readiness for final investment decision (FID) and commercial deployment.

By combining Axens' process technology with Wison's capabilities in standardised and modularised engineering, global supply-chain integration, and project execution, we aim to reduce development complexity, improve cost and schedule certainty, and create solutions that can be efficiently replicated across markets. Ultimately, this is about shortening the path from technology to FID and commercial deployment," said Hengwei Liu CTO of Wison Engineering.
