Built on talent, technology, and trust, Grace’s high-performance specialty chemicals improve the products and processes of our customers around the world.

Over 3900 Grace employees safely and sustainably develop, manufacture, license, support, and sell leading catalyst technologies. Manufacturing excellence and industry leading technical service have made Grace one of the world’s leading suppliers of FCC catalyst and additives.

Grace is dedicated to helping refiners achieve success with innovative catalytic solutions. Refineries stay competitive with Grace Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) technology because they can maximise the yield of the most valuable products through use of the optimal catalyst for their crude slate. Understanding feed impacts earlier allows the refiner to optimise operating parameters and catalyst management strategies for a more stable and profitable operation.

Capture value by processing resid in the FCC

Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) conversion technology is scaling up, providing more options for competing against a confluence of market and regulatory forces. Many of the options under consideration involve increasing resid conversion through the FCC unit. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated market expansion of chemical building blocks such as propylene. This suggests opportunities for upgrading resid to petrochemicals and marketable fuel components such as high octane alkylate.
