Total to sell Lindsey refinery
Total have confirmed plans to sell its Lindsey refinery, UK. The plant currently has the capacity to process 223 000 bpd and is the third largest refining facility in the UK. Total are selling the refinery as it aims to cut 500 000 bpd from its refining capacity by 2011.
Petroplus
Petroplus has already expressed interest in purchasing the facility. Petroplus Holdings AG is a Swiss based, independent refiner and it has already made a non-binding offer for the plant. Petroplus also purchased the Delaware City refinery earlier this year.
