SEG and Yokogawa China have already worked together on numerous refining and ethylene projects within China. The MoC provides a framework for both companies to focus on in-depth collaboration in contracting EPC projects internationally. It is expected that both companies will greatly benefit from the enhanced cooperation under the MoC, particularly in terms of industrial automation advancements and geographical coverage.
SEG is an engineering company of the Sinopec Group, one of the world's largest oil refining and petrochemical enterprises. The company designs and builds oil refineries and petrochemical plants both inside and outside the People's Republic of China. SEG's decision to sign this agreement reflects its recognition that the Yokogawa Group is a trusted partner with the engineering, project execution, and other capabilities necessary to expand its business. Based on this agreement, Yokogawa will provide its control and safety systems, as well as related services for projects in China and abroad.
Kunimasa Shigeno, Yokogawa Electric Director, President and CEO, Representative Executive Officer, commented: “It was an honour to be invited to SEG's headquarters to witness this strategic milestone. Through this partnership, we look forward to working with SEG to ensure successful projects for our mutual end customers in China and beyond.”
