CLG announces residue upgrading award

Chevron Lummus Global (CLG) has confirmed that it has been selected by Indian Oil Corp. Ltd (IOCL) for the license, engineering design and catalyst supply for a residue upgrading unit in Mathura, India.

As reported recently, the unit will use CLG’s proprietary LC-MAX™ and ISOCRACKING® technologies.

Leon de Bruyn, Managing Director, CLG, said: “CLG is pleased to provide the first vacuum residue upgrading unit in India […] This project will enable IOCL to convert the heaviest oils in its refinery and produce high-quality diesel for the region. Our technologies offer unparalleled reliability and flexibility with lower capital investment and operation costs.”
