Duqm Refinery progress report

The construction progress of the Duqm Refinery project is ahead of time with 19.5% of the project completed at the close of April.

The temporary construction facilities installations are ongoing at site in EPC 1 and will be used as offices for engineers. The civil and foundations works continue at the site of civil packages 1 through 5. EPC 1 received the structural steel and precast concrete from local suppliers. Asphalting of all the main refinery boundary roads is ongoing to provide a link between all project facilities and ease the transportation of staff and construction material.

Meanwhile, EPC 2 contractors have commenced surveying, marking out and excavating for the boiler foundations. geotextile installation, outer backfilling and wall reinforcement works are already completed. The fire water tank was handled by the mechanical team.

A review of the inspection notification and reports recovery plan for EPC 3 is underway and the preliminary schedule has already been issued by the contractor. Civil works related to sub packages are to commence soon.
