Synthomer and Lummus Technology have announced the launch of a new partnership to license Synthomer’s proprietary acrylic acid esters technology.

This strategic collaboration combines Synthomer’s operational expertise and technological know-how in acrylic acid esters with Lummus’ global licensing capabilities and extensive customer network. Lummus will offer robust solutions to produce acrylic acid esters, a key component in several high-performance applications, with the ability to utilise a variety of raw materials, including bio-based feedstocks.

“This agreement marks a significant milestone for Synthomer’s acrylate monomers business,” said Rob Tupker, President, Health & Protection and Performance Materials (HPPM) and Asia, Synthomer. “Our technology will now reach a broader market through Lummus’ licensing platform. It’s a win-win for both companies and the industry.”

“By joining forces with Synthomer, we are expanding our portfolio with a proven, high-value technology that meets growing global demand,” added Romain Lemoine, Chief Business Officer, Lummus Technology. “We will be able to deliver a comprehensive and flexible solution to our customers while leveraging Synthomer’s decades of operational excellence and product knowledge.”
