Worley has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA harnessing generative AI to enhance capital efficiency in delivering projects, improve safety and deliver scalable solutions to underpin growth.

Worley CEO Chris Ashton, said: “We are immensely proud of this collaboration with NVIDIA, and it gives me confidence that together we can redefine the future of capital project execution and set new benchmarks for the industry.”

This collaboration will accelerate the future of integrated value chains across the Energy, Chemicals, and Resources (ECR) sectors. It aims to accelerate innovation, unlock global talent, and apply practical AI solutions to deliver real business and customer impact – from conceptual design to engineering, procurement, construction and operations.

In 2024, Worley launched the Advanced Development Lab, a centre of excellence focused on AI-powered solutions. This initiative seeks to transform capital project delivery by combining decades of industry expertise with AI-driven insights. With human oversight at every stage, the partnership ensures ethical and responsible AI adoption while harnessing the power of data.

By combining Worley’s deep industry knowledge across ECR with advanced NVIDIA technology including NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA Omniverse, this collaboration will drive efficiency, improve change management, and accelerate project delivery. AI-powered ‘digital humans’, for example, can streamline project execution, allowing human teams to be 5 to 10 times more productive.

This builds on Worley’s commitment to AI-driven business transformation, responding to growing customer demand for digital and technology solutions.

“Bringing Worley’s five decades of industry experience together with NVIDIA AI expertise and technology, we can transform the way major infrastructure and energy, chemicals and resource projects are delivered,” commented Senior Managing Director for the Global Energy Industry at NVIDIA, Marc Spieler. “Worley is driving improvements in efficiency, productivity and innovation for its customers, accelerating time to deployment and startup operations.”

Worley Group President, Worley Digital, Anup Sharma, added: “Our industry has decades of experience in solving large complex problems, including with AI and machine learning. Gen-AI, powered by NVIDIA, acts as a force multiplier, enabling Worley’s experts to work at unprecedented scale and pace. We finally have the capability and talent to ‘bend’ first principles. This super-charges our capacity to respond to the trillions of dollars of future capital investment”.
