Recleo unites post-industrial (PIR) and post-consumer (PCR) recyclates and compounds in one versatile and cost-effective portfolio, making it simpler for customers in industries such as mobility, building and construction, appliances, infrastructure, and consumer goods to source sustainable materials from trusted global partners.
The Recleo brand complements the Borcycle™ M portfolio of mechanically recycled polyolefins, which are based exclusively on post-consumer waste, and designed for the most demanding applications. Together, the two brands enable Borealis and Borouge to deliver high-quality circular solutions across the full spectrum of customer needs.
Grades in the Recleo portfolio are made from verified PIR and PCR plastic waste streams, helping customers reduce carbon footprints and meet ambitious sustainability targets by keeping valuable raw materials in the cycle.
Recleo also supports compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, including upcoming targets in the new EU End-of-Life Vehicle Regulation (ELVR) and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Many grades in the portfolio are RecyClass certified and produced in accordance with the IATF 16949 quality management standard.
“With Recleo, we are reorganising an important part of our mechanically recycled portfolio that is highly relevant to our customers. It unites our fit-for-purpose mechanically recycled grades into a global portfolio and makes sustainability affordable in all applications. With our Borcycle M brand, we will continue to serve the most demanding premium applications,” explained Dirk Langhammer, Borealis VP Circular Economy Solutions. “This makes our offering clearer and easier to navigate, helping customers choose the solutions that best meet their needs.”
The new brand of circular polyolefin solutions is designed to meet the growing demand for recycled content, aligned with emerging regulations and fulfilling brand-owner sustainability targets. Recleo complements Borouge and Borealis’ virgin portfolio by offering a one-stop-shop shop of cost-effective solutions, making it an ideal choice for customers to achieve their circularity goals without compromising on quality or reliability.
This brand launch reflects Borealis and Borouge’s joint commitment to reinventing essentials for sustainable living. By making recycled materials available to customers worldwide, the two companies are helping to build a circular future.
